It seemed like it took forever, but the day has finally arrived. You booked your date months ago, your prepayment plan is officially complete (and you have chosen one of our fabulous bonuses), and it’s the morning of your shoot. This is your dream session, and it’s going to be life-changing. And to ensure it’s absolutely perfect, we suggest following a few basic prep guidelines on the morning of your shoot.
This can literally make or break your session. Eat something, and I’m not talking single-piece-of-toast-and-half-a-glass-of-juice breakfast. We will be spending hours stretching and posing and you will be burning calories. You need to make sure you have fueled your body. And definitely don’t skip drinking water so you don’t cramp up.
Avoid wearing tight jeans, socks, or anything else that may leave a mark on your skin. (This includes hairbands you keep on your wrist.) It’s practically impossible to edit those impressions out, so we suggest coming to the shoot in yoga pants and a sweatshirt, or something else comfy.
Waxing should be done a day or two before the session, and shaving should be done the night before (we want to avoid razor burn!) so no major grooming should be done the morning of your shoot. Washing your hair should also be done the day before as freshly washed hair won’t hold styling as well.
Wash and dry your face thoroughly in the morning… and call it done. The makeup artists work best with a clean slate.
I got you covered on posing during your session, but sometimes it can take a second for you to warm up and get into the groove. So, the morning of your shoot, I suggest taking some time to practice your “sultry” face in front of the mirror. I know, I know- you might feel silly, but it will actually help a lot when you’re on the studio floor.
From the day of your phone consultation to the morning of your shoot, we want you to be excited and have the perfect session. But leave all the stressing of the ins-and-outs to us. You focus on you.
xoxo,
Ria

[…] On the eve of your session date, it might be hard to get to sleep due to all the excitement. That’s completely normal! But being well-rested is essential to making the most out of a photo shoot. Make sure you head to bed early so you can get a full night’s sleep and take on the boudoir session with gusto. Pro tip: skip the morning coffee if possible and have a nutritious breakfast. You don’t want an energy crash halfway through your session. […]
