Meeting milestones deserve a celebration! Seems obvious, right? But I know so many women who continue on with the grind and don’t take time to honor themselves when they accomplish their goals. We as womxn are not always taught to applaud our own hard work. It is totally appropriate to be in the spotlight- you deserve recognition and praise for your hard work and determination! Miss A had just accomplished some major things in her life and booked a boudoir session to memorialize all of her incredible efforts. Read her testimony about her experience below.

“I’ve always been body conscious but I’ve been trying to embrace the curves God has given me. Life is too short not to love yourself. As a gift to myself for my birthday, just graduating with a bachelor’s in biology, and just purchasing my first home this year, I thought this was the perfect time and way to celebrate me.

“My experience with Ria was something I definitely didn’t fully anticipate. It was so much more than I expected. From the pampering I received when I first entered the studio to the actual modeling, the whole experience was so liberating. I was nervous initially but Ria is so outgoing and her energy just brings out the Photo Goddess in you. My thought of what a boudoir session was, compared to what I actually received, was nowhere near my thoughts. I figured it would be sort of like those stoic photo sessions you get when you are taking holiday photos at Kmart, just with lingerie. But Ria’s sessions were so much more hands-on. She drew me into the experience and her attention to the little details and facial expressions made my photos come to life. This was such a pleasant experience.

“I was afraid I’d get done with my shoot and realize that as beautifully taken as the photos were, I’d feel self-conscious and not like how my body looked. That couldn’t have been further from the reality. This experience has given me such a boost in confidence. My body is amazing and I feel like a bombshell!

“I feel so liberated and confident having done this photoshoot. It opened my eyes to the fact that I don’t need to feel ashamed of my body. I have been so focused on trying to lose weight and attain a body that is long gone, but now I feel great, I know I look amazing and no one can convince me otherwise.

“I understand nerves and anxiety are an obstacle, but all obstacles are meant to be overcome. Underneath that shyness is a beautiful person brimming with life and energy. Give yourself a chance to flourish. Even if you are nervous, I promise Ria will be right there to guide you.

“Take that leap and bet on yourself. We spend so much time and waste so much effort on the things we cannot control in life. For once, just treat yourself. Bask in all the beauty that is YOU!”
