One of the biggest tragedies ever is womxn are taught to hate their bodies. It doesn’t seem to matter that the impossible beauty standards of society are unhealthy, or that even those who reach them find out it’s never enough. Almost from day one, womxn are made to feel ugly and inadequate. Needless to say, most womxn need help to love their bodies.
Through the transformative boudoir process, you can improve your relationship with your body. It takes time to unlearn self-hate, but it’s doable (and absolutely worth the effort!). An intimate portrait session has many key elements that help you work towards self-acceptance and self-love; these are my top three.
We are our own worst critics, especially when it comes to our body. The entire process of boudoir treats your body with the gentle respect it deserves. It does not focus on the “imperfections”, it highlights the stunningness of your body. Your body deserves love, and your images are a reminder of that kindness.
We celebrate your body in the studio, and we do not heavily edit your images. The stunning images of yourself are truly, honestly you. You may have never seen yourself in the boudoir light before, but it’s all you. Your portraits are forever keepsakes that will remind you of your unique, honest, and incredible beauty.
The journey of self-love is long and never truly finished. Boudoir is a creative outlet that helps to build self-confidence. Just like in how boudoir can help overcome trauma, boudoir allows you to explore what makes you happy by creating images that reflect your desires- not the desires of another person.
Your body is one of the few things you have forever. It carries you through the day, it’s lovely and it’s something to cherish. If you don’t view your body with kindness, this is your sign to start learning how to. A boudoir session can help improve your relationship with your body, and you deserve to love your body. If you’re ready to take the step, set up a time to chat with us to go over all the details!

Ria
