Aging is a beautiful thing. I know, I know- we’re supposed to hate it. We’re pressured to be ashamed of the crow’s feet and laugh lines, the grey hairs, wrinkles, and all the other signs of aging, but I reject all of that. I will not be distilled to just my physical features, and neither should you. We, ladies, are like fine wine or scotch. We get better with time.

Time provides growth, experience, and wisdom. Sometimes as we go through our life, we give so much to our roles as wife, mother, professional, that we lose part of ourselves. But then, slowly, we realize we deserve to be all the things we have ever wanted. And as we give ourselves the time and attention we deserve, some of the most robust notes of ourselves develop and come out. And honey, I’m here for all of it. 

Last year’s 40 over 40 participants are the perfect example. I was incredibly honored to meet so many insanely talented and fierce women. They shared their journeys- their highs and lows- and brought. the. fire. They are living proof age ain’t nothin’ but a number.
